Keeping in view, the pandemic situation in the country, the CBSE had cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postponed the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 last month. The CBSE had also notified that the decision on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be taken after a thorough review of the COVID-19 situation in the country on June 1, 2021. The CBSE had stated that an ‘objective criterion’ will be followed in evaluating the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students. The CBSE had earlier this month announced the marking policy for class 10 board exams. According to the policy, while 20 marks for each subject will be for internal assessment as every year, 80 marks will be calculated on basis of the students” performance in various tests or exams throughout the year.

Last year, the board exams had to be postponed mid-way in March. They were later cancelled, and the results were announced based on an alternative assessment scheme.
